MSPCA Nevins Farm Horse Barn
Methuen, MA

Owner: M.S.P.C.A.
Architect: Kenco Design Build
Area: 4,500 sqft
Duration: 3 Months
Project Type: Renovation
Building Use: Animal Shelter
This barn was donated to the MSPCA in 1917 and has been housing surrendered and rescued animals since.
The project required a complete gut of stall spaces to create 16 new custom built horse stalls, a large wash stall for equine grooming and a custom-built hay drop and feed area. The renovation also included three offices for staff and a staff restroom.
In many cases these horses came from difficult circumstances and had already had to adjust to so much so getting their barn done quickly was a top a priority.
The Project was fully funded by donations to the MSPCA.
