A Family Legacy
Kenco Development was conceived standing at the hip of Ken Coe, long time carpenter. As he showed his young grandson, Shane, the attention and craftmanship required to take raw material and transform it with only his head and his hands, a passion was born.
Shane took that passion, coupled it with his natural drive, and turned it into a college degree, graduating first in his major at Fitchburg State for Construction Management.
Professionally, Shane started out as a project manager for a property development company. It wasn’t long before he decided that he wanted bigger projects with more imagination and Kenco Development was established. In short order, Shane’s brother, Todd, joined him as a project manager. They quickly gained a reputation as a high-energy, high-output company and that led to the addition of brother-in-law, Mat Borden, site-supervisor, along the way.
The company has grown, adding brother-in-law, Kevin Hitchko in the role of estimator, and another half dozen or so people who just feel like family round out the Kenco team.
Our success is based on this history, that we can come together, use our heads and our hands, and change something, for our client. The respect and commitment we have for each other, translates into our projects. We won’t let each other down which means we can’t let our client down.
Ken has a lot to be proud of.
